New Sustainable Product

Recognising Sustainability Innovations

This award gives recognition to innovative food and beverage products with strong sustainability credentials; these could be ethical, environmental, social, or packaging considerations. The product should have been launched in the last three years, and there should be evidence of sustainability claims.

 

Gold Winner: Il Frutteto Societa Agricola di Bologna Fabio & C. S.N.C.  Farina Arancia, Limone E Mandarino (Italy)

Silver Winner:  StarWalker Organic Farms Smokehouse Blend Meat Sticks (USA)

The finalists were Mama Habesha Tesmi – Seasoned Ghee (Netherlands), StarWalker Organic Farms Organic Ground Beef (USA), and Tiryaki Agro Gıda San. ve Tic. A.Ş. Hasata Kelkit Sugar Bean (Turkey).

 

Judging Criteria:

  • Innovation: Novel approach to addressing sustainability issue
  • Market Relevance: The product is relevant to the market and meets customer needs
  • Impact: Makes a significant difference in terms of environmental, social, and / or ethical impact
  • Verifiable: Evidence of sustainability merits


Eligibility:

  • New product has strong sustainability credentials
  • Launched within the last 3 years
  • Evidence of sustainability claims
